Bearcats Taylor Ostrander Selected NWC Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week
(September 16, 2014, 7:00 pm) SALEM, Ore. Ostrander won the individual title in a dual meet with the University of Alaska-Anchorage in Chugiak, Alaska, on Sept. 11.

(September 14, 2014, 5:30 am) SALEM, Ore. A single-game record set in 1982 against Linfield was tied 32 years later by the 2014 Bearcats behind a season-high 37 shots that included 18 on-goal.

In a non-conference contest Saturday at Sparks Field, Willamette University tied the program's single-game record for goals in an 11-0 victory over Multnomah University (Ore.).

Willamette Women, Alaska-Anchorage Men Win Dual Competition
(September 12, 2014, 12:05 am) CHUGIAK, Alaska The WU women's team, tied for #7 in the NCAA Division III Preseason Poll, earned a score of 25. Anchorage, which competes in NCAA Division II, achieved a score of 31.

Willamette University won the women's race and the University of Alaska-Anchorage prevailed in the men's race, in a cross country dual meet on Thursday at Beach Lake Trails.


Goalkeeper Julian Juarez registered a season-high six saves in the Bearcats' game against Carthage.
Bearcats Earn Forfeit Victory Over Carthage
(September 12, 2014, 12:02 am) SALEM, Ore. Originally, the Bearcats were defeated by Carthage, 2-0, but Wednesday's decision reversed the final outcome giving Willamette a 1-0 victory.

Following a decision by the NCAA, Willamette University was awarded a victory via forfeit over Carthage College (Wisc.) due to the Red Men using an ineligible player in its first two contests of the season.

Western Oregon Beats Willamette in Straight Sets
(September 10, 2014, 5:29 am) SALEM, Ore. WOU, which competes in NCAA Division II, improved to 1-3 on the season. Willamette, which plays in NCAA Division III, fell to 5-4.

Western Oregon University defeated Willamette University, 3-0, in a non-conference volleyball match at Cone Field House on Tuesday.

Bearcats Get First Win of the Season
(September 7, 2014, 9:51 pm) OLYMPIA, Wash. Willamette returns to the pitch on Friday, September 12th, for their home opener against the University of California-Santa Cruz.

After scoring in just the second minute of the contest and putting in the game-winner in the 53rd minute, Willamette University earned their first win of the season, defeating The Evergreen State College, 2-1.

Willamette Falls to Warner Pacific, 1-0
(September 7, 2014, 6:30 am) SALEM, Ore. Willamette will return to action on Friday, Sept. 12, against Northwest Christian University.

Despite holding a 12-4 advantage in total shots, Willamette University could not overcome a goal 14 seconds into the second half falling to Warner Pacific College, 1-0, Saturday night at Sparks Field.

Bearcats Down Occidental; Lose to Pomona-Pitzer
(September 5, 2014, 11:02 pm) THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. The Bearcats are now 4-2 on the season.

Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) defeated Willamette University, 3-1, in volleyball on Friday at the Cal Lu Fornia Invitational.

Carthage College Blanks Willamette University, 2-0
(September 1, 2014, 6:05 pm) KENOSHA, Wis. The Red Men scored less than 10 minutes into the game and with less than four minutes remaining to earn the win.

Carthage College downed Willamette University, 2-0, in a men's soccer game on Monday at Art Keller Field.
